Organising the MRCOG Part 1 courses requires input from the Convenor and Deputy Convenor. It is essential that the post holder is enthusiastic, willing and able to commit the time to oversee all the courses and attend the courses. We currently run two virtual courses in May/June and December.

Course preparation time, teaching on the courses, course development and liaison with the exam committee all need to be factored into the amount of work.  The work tends to peak in the months before the courses.

Additional meetings with the Honorary Directors of Events, Events Team and Course Convenor may be required.

This role reflects the present requirements of the post. As duties and responsibilities change and develop the role description will be reviewed and be subject to amendment in consultation with the post holder.

The role description will be re-evaluated at the end of the term.
A Deputy Convenor should be appointed 6 months before the end of the current holder's term of office and they should work closely together during this time in order to facilitate a smooth take-over period.
