RCOG Research

RCOG research, formerly known as the research committee, aims to promote the college’s women’s health research agenda by engaging with funders, researchers, clinicians, and other stakeholders.

Objectives

Our main objectives are to promote women’s health research, support the submission of research ideas, and maintain links with research funders.

Key domains

RCOG research operates within three main domains:

Research priority: Collaborates with specialist societies and legacy clinical study groups (CSGs) to facilitate the submission of PICOs (patient/population, intervention, comparison, outcome) to funders.

Research engagement and training: Manages engagement with key research funders and aligns PICOs with suitable funding opportunities.

Research delivery and capacity: Works with the NIHR reproductive health specialty to support the funding of research and research infrastructure.
