Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH)

Who we are 

The Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) works closely with the RCOG – it is an independent organisation with the functions of a medical royal college. 

The FSRH is the leader in the field of sexual and reproductive healthcare, and we are the voice for professionals working in this area. As a multi-disciplinary professional membership organisation, we set clinical guidance and standards, provide training and lifelong education, and champion safe and effective sexual and reproductive healthcare across the life course for all. 

Established in 1993, the FSRH has 14,000 members comprising doctors, nurses, midwives, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals in the UK and globally.

We offer a diverse range of education and training designed to enhance your knowledge and skills in SRH. Including contraception, abortion care, and menopause, our courses are delivered by experienced healthcare professionals and renowned experts in the field.

Clinical Standards and Guidance

As a leading authority in SRH, we develop and publish evidence-based clinical standards and guidance . Access to these resources ensures that you deliver the highest quality care and stay informed about the latest clinical protocols, policies, and recommendations to make well-informed decisions. 

Clinical Effectiveness Unit (CEU)

Our Clinical Effectiveness Unit (CEU) was formed to support members and to develop and promote evidence based clinical practice. Based at our London offices it is led by Clinical Director, Dr Rebecca Strauss, and Head of the CEU, Sarah Willett. The CEU is overseen by the Vice President for Clinical Quality and the Clinical Quality Board.

Advocacy and Policy

We actively advocate for SRH issues at a national level, influencing policies and practices. By becoming involved, you can contribute to shaping the future of SRH healthcare and make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities. Participate in our advocacy campaigns, including the FSRH Hatfield Vision, alongside consultations, committees, and working groups to drive meaningful change.
