Florence and William Blair Bell Research Fellowship

We are delighted to offer up to £5,000 for a research fellowship, through the kind endowment of the late Florence and William Blair Bell.

The funding has been donated to stimulate and encourage research (clinical or laboratory-based) in the field of O&G. Clinicians are encouraged, with the use of funds, to acquire extra clinical or research skills to improve patient management or develop their postdoctoral research. 

Eligibility and requirements

The research fellowship will be awarded to a Member or doctor in training in early career postdoctoral research who has completed their MD or PhD no more than 12 months prior to the date of their application.

Conditions

  • Any travel planned as part of the Fellowship must take place within 12 months of the award being made
  • The award may only be used for the purpose outlined in your original application
  • A detailed report (maximum 1,000 words), including pictures if appropriate, must be submitted to the RCOG Awards at the end of the grant period
  • An undertaking must be given that the source of the grant will be acknowledged in any related publications
