The RCOG, with the kind and generous support of the Lindsay Stewart Foundation, is able to award £1,000 and an annual lectureship to an eminent researcher in the UK focusing on quality improvement science in women’s health. The lecture will be delivered at the RCOG Annual Academic Event.
The lecture aims to acknowledge and disseminate outstanding original work in quality improvement science related to women’s health.
Mr. Lindsay Stewart, OBE, FRCS Ed (Hon), FRCOG (Hon) maintained a life-long association with the RCOG. He was an advocate for continuous quality improvement in healthcare services, he funded the establishment of Lindsay Stewart R&D Centre to promote quality improvement tools aimed at advancing standards of care in women’s health.

Prize
The recipient is awarded £1,000 prize and is invited to deliver a lecture at the RCOG Academic Event.
Eligibility
This lectureship is open to clinicians or scientists based in the UK who have conducted original work related to quality improvement science in women’s health.
Assessment criteria
Applications will be judged on the following criteria:
- Quality improvement tools used
- Critical discussion
- Clinical relevance
- Evidence of quality improvement
