The Annual Academic Meeting, organised jointly by the RCOG and the Blair Bell Research Society, provides a forum for medical students to present their work in a rigorous national environment, in oral and poster formats. The meeting also includes a session in which undergraduate leads and students can discuss key issues on how best to support the development of undergraduate students.
The RCOG also runs the annual National Trainees’ Conference specifically for trainees in O&G, although there isn’t a specific slot for undergraduates.
Medical Students Day
There is also a Medical Students’ Day, organised jointly by the RCOG and the British Undergraduate Society for Obstetrics and Gynaecology (BUSOG), designed to showcase a career in O&G and to offer tips on making the most of the undergraduate experience.
