Find out more about O&G in the UK, the different careers available, and the RCOG.
Welcome, international medical graduates!
We are pleased that you are considering a career as an obstetrician or gynaecologist in the UK.
The workforce within O&G is made up of 57% IMGs compared to an average of 35% across all other specialties. This both reflects population demographics in the UK, and means that hospitals can benefit from the new skills and knowledge that IMGs are able to share with their UK colleagues.
Adapting to a new environment, both professionally and personally, can be a challenging process for anyone. That is why we have put together information and resources to support doctors who are considering, or preparing for, a move to the UK to work in O&G.
