CPD for SAS/LE Doctors
Continuing professional development (CPD) is an important part of every doctor’s work and a vital part of appraisal and revalidation. SAS/LEDs should ensure they are participating in CPD and collecting relevant information.
If you have any concerns, please email Dr Laura Hipple (below), the RCOG's National Lead for SAS/LE Doctors.
If you are unsure which RCOG ePortfolio to use please read the RCOG guidance on how to choose the right ePortfolio.
Revalidation for SAS doctors
Doctors in SAS and LED posts need to have an annual appraisal and 5-yearly revalidations in exactly the same way as consultants do.
Please find resources below to guide doctors through the appraisal and revalidation process. Some resources are specific to SAS doctors.
