Whilst this is national SAS Week, the RCOG also recognises the contributions and achievements of another group of doctors working in our specialty, locally employed doctors (LEDs).
Many doctors working in locally employed posts are from overseas and are employed on temporary local contracts, without the security and benefits of national contract terms and conditions that our consultants, SAS and doctors in training have.
