A full costing to develop a regional simulation hub can be found in appendix 2.
To reduce costing, many deaneries may already have laparoscopic boxes and equipment dispersed throughout the region which can be pulled centrally and utilised fully in the simulation hub setting.
Many units may also have access to virtual reality simulators and a simulation hub can be developed accordingly. This model simulation hub allows the creation of a basic training hub which can be developed in the future utilising newer technology etc.
Collaboration between hubs with-in and across deaneries is encouraged to share best practice and resources. The creation of local gynaecology simulation networks is encouraged.
