Detailed information on the roles/responsibilities of Regional WPB Champions, as well as practical advice on how they can help, can be found here under Module 6, Question 5 "What are the RCOG regional Workplace Behaviour Champions?".
Key points include:
- Your regional champion ties into a national network led by the workplace behaviour advisor, and will have channels of support when handling difficult issues and access to others who have faced similar challenges previously.
- Champions can be a powerful point of contact for trainees in your region, because although they sit on the School Board, they are removed from deanery assessment processes which may make them more approachable to trainees.
- Your champion will be able to assess and follow progress on workplace behaviour in your deanery and report back to School Board with ongoing progress and suggestions for further support and interventions.
