The papers are produced by the Patient Safety Committee.
The aim of these papers is to ensure that all patients are given consistent and adequate information for consent.
For any enquiries about the Consent Advice documents, please contact Michelle Sadler, Guidance Editorial Manager (msadler@rcog.org.uk).
If you would like to propose a new topic for Consent Advice, please complete the Topic Proposal Form and email it to clinicaleffectiveness@rcog.org.uk.
Please note: Although many of these documents were produced before the Montgomery ruling, they remain appropriate for use as part of the process outlined on our main consent page. The forms should be used to help record women’s understanding of the implications of the final agreed procedure.
